Cali P

Cali P is an internationally recognised reggae and dancehall artist known for his energetic performances, conscious lyrics, and multicultural musical identity. Born Pierre Nanon to a Swiss mother and a Rastafarian father from Guadeloupe, Cali P grew up between Europe and the Caribbean, developing a sound deeply rooted in reggae culture while blending influences from dancehall, hip hop, afrobeat, and modern global sounds.

Music has played a central role in his life from an early age. He began playing drums at just three years old before later joining his father’s cultural group AKIYO and eventually building his own path through the influential Gideon Soldiers sound system in Switzerland. Inspired by Jamaican reggae and dancehall culture, Cali P quickly gained recognition for his lyrical energy, spiritual awareness, and authentic message-driven music.

Following the release of his debut single “Forward” in 2005, Cali P established himself internationally through projects such as Lyrical Faya, Unstoppable, Healing Of The Nation, iThoughts, Vizion, and Infinity, released in 2024. Throughout his career, he has consistently evolved musically while remaining connected to the roots and culture of reggae music.

Known for combining spirituality, cultural consciousness, and contemporary sounds, Cali P moves naturally between reggae, dancehall, hip hop, and afro-influenced music while maintaining a strong global following. His music has generated millions of streams worldwide, with tracks such as “Herbalist”, “Dem Ago Burn Up”, “Jah Rule The World”, and “Energy” becoming favourites among reggae audiences internationally.

Over the years, Cali P has performed across Europe, Jamaica, Africa, North America, India, and the Middle East, appearing at major festivals including Rebel Salute, Rototom Sunsplash, Summerjam, Reggae Jam, and Festival d’été de Québec. With a career built on authenticity, powerful live performances, and positive messages, Cali P continues to represent modern reggae music on an international level.
